Here's a picture from our walk on the beach this afternoon, Marti's birthday.
We're all at Surfside this weekend celebrating Marti's 21st anniversary of her 39th birthday! Troy and Meghann drove down with us and we ate our way down here by way of our favorite joint in Columbia and then hit a nice seafood place here last night. Jill and the kids came over from Aynor today where they had been since Christmas and Matt is coming tonite, driving all the way from Knoxville after work, about 7 hours! Ugh! We all had a good walk on the beach this afternoon, weather was wonderful, mid 60's and some sun. An unusually plentiful amount of shells seemed to have washed up so we had a splendid time filling a bag of sea shells for Madeline's collection. She and I had a good time running toward the tide and then running back as the waves came up higher and higher with the slow incoming tide. Very little wind so all in all a perfect day! Kids are having a great time running around and the girls are doing a puzzle. I snuck away upstairs and hid for a while - took a nap! Life is just better at the beach! Planning to take Marti and the gang to her favorite Myrtle Beach eaterie tomorrow night - a place called Thorobreds up on restaurant row where they have the best chocolate creme brule we've ever found, and believe me we have searched! come to think of it we have been searching for "the best of" in a number of categories for a long time and my waistline provides irrefutable evidence! S'pose we will continue the quest. The smell of spaghetti is wafting into the room and I hear the sound of pots and pans so it must be time to eat again! Guess I'll drag myself up off the couch and head that way! searching for the best Spaghetti known to man of course! Fun to spend some time with the family!

Congratulations Troy and Meghann!!! We are so happy for you (and your parents) :)

Sally and I went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra last night. WOW, what a sensory overload. If any of you have a chance to see their Christmas show, I would highly recommend it. I would suggest being further from the stage tho, it is quite loud. We have one of their DVDs from a earlier Christmas show that is very good and you are more than welcome to come over and watch it. I promise you it will put you in the Christmas spirit.

Love to all you Bloggers,
Tim & Sally
